March for Life, Washington DC on Friday, January 19. This is the 45th Anniversary of the Roe V Wade decision, which has led to the tragic loss of over 61 million lives of pre-born babies to surgical abortion. For national coverage on the March for Life, see www.ewtn.org. Our Diocese plans to take part! Contact Peter Martin (507) 858-1273 or pmartin@dow.org for details. Limited space, first come basis.

March for Life, St. Paul Capitol on Monday, January 22 at noon, followed by a short program 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Hosted by MCCL (MN Citizens Concerned for Life). For information, see www.mccl.org. This is preceded by the 10:30 am Annual Prayer Service for Life at The Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Ave, St. Paul, MN. Participants will walk to the capitol to join in the March for Life after the prayer service. Please pray for those attending the March for Life, (National and State level), for all those affected by abortion, and for an increased respect for the awesome gift of life from our Heavenly Father.

9 DAYS FOR LIFE: JANUARY 18-26, is a "digital pilgrimage" of prayer and action focused on cherishing the gift of every person's life. A multi-faceted novena highlighting a different intention each day provides reflections, bonus information, and suggested actions. Join to receive the novena through the 9 Days for Life app, daily emails, or daily texts. See www.usccb.org for information.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Sunday, January 21st. Since 1984, when President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the first National Sanctity of Human Life day, churches around the country have gathered on the 3rd Sunday of January to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting life at every stage. Offer a Rosary or say some prayers for the sanctity of life today. For more information, see www.lifemattersww.org.

Diocese of Winona Prayer Service for Life on Sunday, January 28, 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Ss. Peter & Paul Church of Blue Earth (214 Holland Street), with the Rev. Bishop John M. Quinn presiding. Prayers of reparation and healing will be offered as we mourn the loss of millions of lives because of forty-five years of legalized abortion in America.

40 Days for Life Campaign – February 14 – March 25: A time of Prayer, Fasting, and Outreach that is changing the hearts and minds of those who believe abortion is acceptable. By the grace of God, the movement has been blessed with proven results. Since 2007, 40 countries have taken part, 170 abortion workers have quit, and 90 abortion centers have closed. Best of all, 13,998 preborn babies have been spared abortion and parents saved from heartache. To learn more, see www.40daysforlife.com.
