Fr. Andrew Apostoli shares with us the origins of the First Saturday devotion. During her July 1917 apparition at Fatima, Our Lady said to Lucy, “I shall come to ask... that on the First Saturday of every month, Communions of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world.”
This devotion, which the Blessed Mother asked for, is the natural complement to the First Friday devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A drama based on a true story of two very different men who compete as runners in the 1924 Paris Olympics: a serious Christian who believes he has to succeed as a testament to his faith, and a Jewish Englishman who wants to prove that Jews are not inferior. The two men drive home the theme that victory attained through devotion, commitment, integrity, and sacrifice is the most admirable feat that one can achieve.

2009                       1 hr 25 min

Based on the memoirs of the oldest seer, Lucia Santos, and many thousands of independent eye-witness accounts, The 13th Day dramatizes the true story of three young shepherds who experienced six apparitions of Our Lady between May and October 1917, which culminated in the final prophesied Miracle of the Sun on October 13th.
