Personal Invitation to the Men in the Diocese of Winona

Attention Men of Winona

Click here for exciting information about the Diocese of Winona Men's Conference: Man of God on April 2nd.

A man's heart has it's own unique characteristics that make it identifiably masculine. Man of God, therefore, seeks to inspire men to pursue holiness by structuring their lives with these Four Pillars; Conversion, Discipleship, Evangelization and the Sacraments.

This conference is an amazing experience for you to grow in your relationship with Our Lord. We prayerfully hope that you take advantage of this incredible opportunity to learn from your fellow brothers in Christ about what it means to be holy men of God in your own lives. Come and see what God calls for you!

Event leaders include:
Curtis Martin of FOCUS,
Peter Herbeck of EWTN,
Our own Bishop Quinn.

Holy Hour of Prayer for Life, Marriage, and Religious Liberty (3/5)

The Holy Hour of Prayer for Life, Marriage, and Religious Liberty is held monthly on the first Saturday.  Everyone is invited to join us in prayer on March  5 at 8:30 am (after the 8:00 am Mass) at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 360 Main Street, Winona.

“In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration…It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering.” - Pope Benedict XVI

Catholic Relief Service Haiti Delegation from Cathedral

We had the privilege of being part of a Catholic Relief Services delegation to Haiti and saw Catholic Relief Service in action. This is our reflection.
~Betsy and Dave Rowekamp

Seeing is Believing

Haiti
A heartbreaking country.
In many ways,
HELPLESS
and seemingly,
near HOPELESS.

Seeing is believing.
Inept government
and POVERTY that brought us to tears.
Exhausted, sad faces without light.
But a ray of hope exists.

Seeing is believing.
Catholic Relief Services is there
Incredibly dedicated.
Educating
Unifying
Working for PEACE
Addressing needs.

Seeing is believing.
A hospital, crumbled by the 2010 earthquake--
REBUILT.
A  shelter for the homeless
Children scarred by violence--
being cared for by nuns
A once dangerous, violent neighborhood
now a peaceful COMMUNITY
with a soccer field
and space for FAMILY gatherings.

All supported
and funded
by Catholic Relief Services.

Blessed are you who have not seen but believe.
Please give generously to Catholic Relief Services at all their appeals.
You can be assured that your donations actually go to help poor and suffering people.

CRS Rice Bowl for Lent

Let us begin the journey of Lent. We are given forty days to reflect on those obstacles in our lives that prevent us from better loving ourselves, our God and our neighbors.

Let CRS Rice Bowl accompany you as together we grow in solidarity, lifting up and reflecting on the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world—and on how what we give up for Lent can change lives.

Rice Bowls are available at the entrances of St. Casimir Parish and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.  Help us Feed the Hungry this Lent.
