Youth Faith Formation Update

Welcome to a new year of Faith Formation! We look forward to working with you and your child(ren) as they continue their life-long journey of faith formation.

Faith Formation means learning about your faith. Our parish uses a variety of ways to teach and nurture the faith of our parishioners: the liturgy, the homily, and prayer groups are just a few examples. Our children started their faith formation journey when baptized. They receive their spirituality from you at home, from our church community, and directly as a gift from God. Your influence on your child’s faith development is so important; therefore we are asking you to have your child(ren) join us once again this year on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 – 7:30.

On our Youth Faith Formation page you will find a schedule and registration form, as well as other information. Please complete the form and return as soon as possible by mailing or dropping it off at the parish office or simply place it in the offertory basket during Mass.

If you have a young adult who is ready for the Sacrament of Confirmation, our parish works with St. Mary’s Parish for this program, please visit St. Mary’s website – – for more information. Thank you!

Pope to Consecrate the World to Mary's Immaculate Heart

Pope Francis to Consecrate the World to Mary’s Immaculate Heart

On Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, the Vatican will welcome hundreds, including those with special Marian devotions,  for a weekend of Marian ceremonies.  For the event, Pope Francis requested that the statue of Our Lady of Fatima be brought to Rome from Portugal.  The weekend will begin with  a pilgrimage to St. Peter’s tomb and end on Sunday with the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  The consecration will be made in the presence of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima on the 96th anniversary of the last apparition of Mary in Fatima.  This will be one of the last events for the Year of Faith, which began in October 2012 under Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.  For more info, click here.
