There IS a Neocatechumenal Way Session Tonight

There was a typo in the bulletin last weekend regarding the session tonight (we forgot the 'e' and added a space, making it "No catechumenal Way").
There IS a session this evening at 7 pm at Cathedral in Holy Family Hall. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Come and hear the good news!

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Loving God, I come to you in thanksgiving, knowing that all I am and all that I have is a gift from you.  In faith and love, help me to do your will.  I am listening, Lord God. Speak your words into the depth of my soul, that I may hear you clearly.  I offer to you this day all the facets of my life, whether it be at home, at work, or at school—to be patient, to be merciful, to be generous, to be holy.  Give me the wisdom and insight to understand your will for me and the fervor to fulfill my good intentions.  I offer my gifts of time, talent and possessions to you as a true act of faith, to reflect my love for you and my neighbor.  Help me to reach out to others as you my god have reached out to me.

Get Involved: Stewardship Sign-Up Materials

What are you good at? Everyone has gifts and talents given to us by God. As Catholics, we believe it is essential to be good stewards of these gifts and talents. As a parish community we are reminded every week at Mass that money is needed to keep our parishes going. But even more than money, there is always a place our time and talents are needed in a parish community.

This weekend is our big Stewardship Sign-Up at all our cluster Masses. This year we're excited to offer an online sign-up option as well as the paper sign-up in church. Please take a minute to look through ministry description book and figure out where your talents fit our needs.
Don't see something you'd like to help with? Let us know! We'd be happy to help you find a place for your talents and time.

Stewardship Prayer

O Lord, giver of life and source of freedom, I know that all I have received is from your hand.  Gracious and loving God, You call us to be stewards of Your abundance, the caretakers of all you have entrusted to us.  Help us to always use Your gifts wisely and teach us to share them generously.  Send the Holy Spirit to work through us, bringing Your message to those we serve.  May our faithful stewardship bear witness to the love
of Jesus Christ in our lives.  We pray with grateful hearts, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Class

Peace of the Lord be with you always!

Jesus tells us to not let our hearts be troubled nor to let them be afraid.  He grants us His gift of Peace which is God's Presence through the Holy Spirit to remain in our hearts, present to our lives always.  Might we open our hearts to His Holy Spirit. 1st Communion reminds of Jesus' close presence always. Click here for my full Sunday homily this week.
For myself, I was given an opportunity to open myself to the Holy Spirit this past week as I was asked by Bishop Quinn to become the pastor of St. Theresa, Mapleton; St. Joseph, Good Thunder; and St. Matthew, Vernon Center.  These three parishes are located directly south of Mankato.  This will become effective July 1st.  Thank you all for your constant support and prayers.  I do look forward to the final two months of my time here in Winona.  May God bless and reward you for your faithfulness.
