Offering Prayer

Almighty God, we thank you for all the gifts You have given us:  our lives, our loved ones, all that we have and all that we are.  Most of all, we thank You for Jesus, your Son and our Redeemer, who came among us to show us the way to eternal life.  Jesus was the perfect steward of your gifts, showing that complete trust in You is necessary, and that giving of self is a most important part of following Him.  May the offerings of our
time, our talents, and our material resources be made in the same spirit of sacrifice that Jesus taught us by His life and death for us.  Amen.

Neocatechumenal Way Sessions Start Monday!

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”

The Lord is knocking at the door” in answer to your prayers and is ONLY asking you to...

COME AND LISTEN!

In these modern times when it seems impractical to be FAITHFUL to our Catholic beliefs, the Holy Spirit responds by raising Charisms within the Church that can HELP GIVE US THE STRENGTH to carry out what seems impossible, irrational and unattainable to the World!

THESE TALKS WILL HELP YOU, your family and friends, even in the midst of the most difficult situation.

Voice of the Shepherd

We hear the voice of Jesus Christ speak to our hearts.  Jesus desires to be in an authentic relationship with us.  This happens in personal prayer and especially through the Sacraments.  Once we hear the voice of Christ, we learn to listen to that voice above every other screaming voice in society.  Upon learning to listen to His voice above societies, we then practice faithfulness to His voice.  Jesus, speak to my heart today.

Vocations Sunday

World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be observed on Sunday, April 21st, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publically fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. You can find many resources to promote a culture of vocations on the USCCB Vocations webpage.

New Pope Francis Book at Angels Everywhere

Angels Everywhere now has a new book written about Pope Francis!
He's a pope of "firsts" - the first Jesuit pope, the first pope from the Americas, and the first to choose the name of Italy's most famous saint.
  • He is the son of an immigrant railway worker, and sibling of four.
  • He was an active, social young man who trained to be a chemist before pursuing a religious vocation.
  • He is a Jesuit priest and beloved spiritual director who even as archbishop of Buenos Aires was referred to as Father Jorge.
  • He is an outspoken leader who experienced firsthand the challenges of a society ravaged by war, economic despair and cultural unrest.

Sunday, April 21, is a World Day of Prayer for Vocations.

Prayer to Follow Christ's Call
Lord, I thank you for the gifts you have given me, especially for life, love, family, and friends.
Help me to know myself better and to know my talents, as I pray, study and decide on my life's work.
Help me to see and understand the path you open for me. Help me choose a life's work, which will be in response to my potential and you love for me.
If I am being invited to follow you as a priest, brother or sister, missionary or lay consecrated, give me a generous heart to respond to your challenging call and the strength to follow you wherever you lead me. Amen.

We Walk by Faith
During a lifetime we walk thousands of miles.  On a deeper level in our lives we "walk by faith", seeking the friendship and face of God. This is the single most important walk of our lives! Fortunately, there is wisdom available to us for this journey. The words of the Scripture are a "light for our path" (Psalm 119). God is everywhere. "In him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 11:28). We are immersed in divine compassion.

Open your hearts to it! Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI has declared October 2012-2013 a Year of Faith. Join us at King's House as we reflect on how we are called to "Walk By Faith".

Prayer to be Grateful

To be grateful is to recognize the Love of God in everything he has given us – and He has given us everything.  Every breath we draw is a gift of His love, every moment of existence is a grace, for it brings with it immense graces from Him.  Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonder and to praise of the goodness of God.  For the grateful person knows that God is good, not by hearsay but by experience.  And that is what makes all the difference.

Online Giving is Here!

As of today, you can now take part in our Online Giving program! We are excited to be partnering with Our Sunday Visitor to enable us to bring online giving into our parishes. We will now be able to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and ACH options on a secure and easy-to-use website. We are striving to make this this the most convenient, safe, and easy user experience possible.
As the user, you would have full control over your account. This includes: every amount given, how often it is given, which credit card or bank account each donation comes from, and keeps your personal information private and secure. Users are able to set up payments to happen weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Users are also able to control the dollar amount of every transaction, instead of having to contact the parish office to make any changes.
In addition to parish support and special collections, this will also enable us to accept online payment for Memorials, Angels Everywhere items, Faith Formation and Vacation Bible School fees, as well as many others. Click on Read More to find out how to sign up!

Divine Mercy Sunday

The Second Sunday of Easter was celebrated as again as Divine Mercy Sunday as it has become known.  This great feast day enabled us to have a wonderful celebration of the mercy of God and His triumph over sin and death with a time of prayer and opportunity for confessions celebrating the great mercy and love of Jesus.  His desire is to save us from sin and to restore us to the loving embrace of the Father!
