My First Assignment

I am happy to write you from my new desk, at my new assignment, as your new Parochial Vicar (associate pastor) and I must say I am very excited to be joining a wonderful group of faithful people to serve the Cathedral, St. Casimir, and the Newman Center here in Winona.
I would especially like to thank Fr. Rick Colletti and his staff for their very warm welcome.

By way of introduction, I am newly ordained on June 15th, 2012 on the Feast of the Sacred Heart.  I am originally from Owatonna where I grew  up with one brother and my parents.  I attended the Catholic school K-8 and then went to public high school.  In high school, I played different sports but particularly enjoyed playing football.  After one year of college, I attended IHM Seminary here in Winona to ask God if He was calling me to serve Him as a priest.  Upon hearing God's call in my life and graduation from college seminary, I  then did graduate studies in Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI.

My road to priesthood has been filled with graces and challenges but was always blessed by the loving grace of our Savior Jesus Christ.  I am so happy to be His priest and I look forward to many years of faithful service in the Diocese of Winona.  Please introduce yourself to me this weekend and in the weeks to come and then introduce yourself to me again after that!  I very much anticipate getting to know you and your family.  May God bless you abundantly and lead you closer to the Heart of Our Savior which burns with love for each of us.
