UCCB Launches Text-Message Campaign for Religious Freedom

As Catholics we are constantly called to live out our faith in our daily lives.  In our charities, we comfort the sick, feed the hungry, care for the poor, and protect life.  In the marketplace, our values guide us. We strive everywhere to practice what we preach.
These rights are fundamental.  They belong to each and every human being.  We cannot let them be trampled.  We cannot remain silent. Please join the movement to protect our right to live out our faith. Sign up to learn how you can help save our religious freedom.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has launched a text-message campaign to “to provide a new way for people to join [its] national campaign for religious freedom.”
“Across America, our right to live out our faith is being threatened — from Washington’s forcing Catholic institutions to provide services that contradict their beliefs, to state governments’ prohibiting religious charities from serving the most vulnerable,” said Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, the chairman of the bishops’ Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty. “We encourage all supporters around the country to text the simple, meaningful word ‘Freedom’ (for English) or ‘Libertad’ (for Spanish) to 377377 to join the movement.”
