Farewell Celebration for Fr. Mike Cronin

Please join us in saying farewell to Fr. Cronin as he begins his new assignment in Owatonna and Litomysl the end of June. We will gather in Holy Family Hall at Cathedral after the Masses on June 16th and 17th and the basement at St. Casimir the weekend of June 23rd and 24th.

Remember Those That Protect Us, On Memorial Day And Always...No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends...John 15:13

Dear God, Thank You for the men and women who protect us and preserve Your gifts of life, country, and freedom at home and abroad, even at the sacrifice of their own lives. They and their families are the true heroes among us. Today we remember all those who have laid down their lives so that we can continue to enjoy the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Let Your perpetual light shine upon them, and grant them eternal rest. Please send out Your angels to protect all who serve our country, and keep us free from injustice and harm. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

Ways to Observe This Day:   Visit cemeteries and place flags or flowers on the graves of our fallen heroes. Visit local memorials. Fly the U.S. Flag at half-staff until noon. Fly the POW/MIA Flag.  Pray for all who serve our United States in the Armed Forces throughout the World.

Turning our Gaze to Christ

On June 2223, 2012, the Diocese of Winona will hold an “Evangelization Event” at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester – Turning Our Gaze to Christ. In addition to the general conference sessions, there will also be a youth track, a Spanish language track, and children’s programming (for preschool through fifth grade). The event will provide opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration and celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the day on Saturday. On that evening, to close the gathering, there will be an outdoor concert featuring Catholic singer and songwriter, Sarah Hart, and the band, Ceili Rain, offering “music with a dash of Celtic/Irish flavor.”  For more information about the event and to register, click on the icon for the event on the right side of your screen.

May Gift Bearers Needed

Looking for a ministry to do with your family? We're looking for Gift Bearers for the rest of the May Masses. If you would like to sign up please contact the parish office. Thank you!

Baptism Pictures Wanted

Did your child get baptized at Cathedral or St. Casimir in the past two months?
If so, we would love to get a picture of the baptism to put on our baptism board in the gathering space. The board contains all the pictures we are able to get from the previous year. It is very popular with our parishioners, and a good way for people to watch our parishes grow.
Pictures can be emailed to info@cathedralwinona.org, dropped off or mailed to the parish office. Thank you for your consideration!
