Donations Still Needed for Feed My Starving Children

We are still in need of donations for the Feed My Starving Children campaign. At a cost of only $.24 per meal, every dollar makes a difference. We need to raise a total of $800 for the March date. Checks can be made out to Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with Feed My Starving Children in the memo line. They are a truly wonderful non-profit Christian organization servicing a very real need. Thank you for your generosity.

Feed My Starving Children is an organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world. Cathedral will sponsor and work at the event on March 24th. For more info see the Feed My Starving Children website.

The Rice pack food blend has won rave reviews all over the world. While the formula was designed to save the lives of severely malnourished and starving children, the ingredients also improve the health, growth and physical well-being of children who are no longer in immediate danger of starvation. A single bag of food—which provides highly nutritious meals for six children—costs around $1.44 to produce, and 93 percent of all donations to FMSC goes directly toward the food program.
